What is ACEO? It stands for Art Cards, Editions and Originals. The ACEO cards can be made using variety of media (acrylics, pencils, watercolors you name it), subjects (still life, animal, floral, seascape etc), styles (abstract, traditional, modern), and the only restriction is the size.
The ACEO card must be 2.5 x 3.5 (64 x 89 mm) inches (portrait or landscape orientation). Artists were painting and trading such cards between themselves all the time in order to have some samples of each other's styles. Finally, the idea of collecting those small masterpieces reached the general public.
ACEO cards are highly collectible, not expensive (it's always important), take little storage space
and can be beautifully displayed. At ArtTale Gallery we'll try to have all of our artists to offer
their ACEO for your collections.
Warning: after you get your first card it is almost impossible to stop looking for more :)
